Brendan O'Leary is a Staff Developer Evangelist for GitLab who connects with developers, contributes to open source projects, and shares his thoughts on cutting-edge technologies on conference panels, meetups, in contributed articles and on blogs.

Brendan O'Leary is a Staff Developer Evangelist at GitLab, the One DevOps platform, a governing board member at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, and an advisor to various startups. Having worked in software his entire career, Brendan has had the privilege of working with many customers. From the nation's top healthcare institutions to environmental services companies to the Department of Defense - every company is a software company. That means every company needs software and DevOps operational excellence. Outside of work, you'll find Brendan with 1 to 4 kids hanging off of him at any given time or occasionally finding a moment alone to build something in his workshop.

Working with customers to deliver value drives Brendan's passion for DevOps and smooth CI/CD implementation. Having worked in software his entire career, Brendan has had the privilege of working with many customers. From the nation's top healthcare institutions to environmental services companies to the Department of Defense - every company is a software company. That means every company needs software and DevOps operational excellence. My entire career, my passion has been driven by the ability to level up engineers.

Originally this was as an Engineering and Product Manager at several software companies, but more recently, I've been privileged to work on developer tooling directly at GitLab. In 2020, I changed roles to be a Developer Evangelist at GitLab.
